Profit Must Be Learned Before It Is Earned
Profit does not arrive because you are busy. It does not appear because turnover is high. And it certainly does not reward effort alone. Profit is not automatic. It is learned.
Read itDo you know your trading profit percentage right now — without checking?
Not your turnover. Not your revenue. Not the number your accountant gave you in last month's meeting.
Your actual trading profit. The cents in every dollar that belong to you after everyone else has been paid.
If you hesitated, you're not alone. Most business leaders I sit across from can quote their turnover to the nearest thousand. Ask them their volume breakdown, their average selling price, their gross margin, their contribution, their fixed-to-variable cost ratio — and the conversation stalls.
That silence is expensive.
Your diary is full. Your team is working. Revenue is coming in. By every visible measure, the business is performing.
So why isn't the money showing up?
Here's what I've seen over and over: business owners confuse activity with profitability. They mistake cash in the bank for profit. They look at a strong month of sales and assume the business is healthy — while the P&L tells a completely different story.
Cash is not profit. A full bank account and a business that's bleeding are not mutually exclusive. You can have both at the same time.
And if you don't know the difference, every major decision you make, hiring, pricing, investing, expanding is a guess.
Here's a question that will either confirm you're in control or keep you up tonight:
How many cents in every dollar are you making — compared to how many you should be making?
Let's say you're running at 10 cents in the dollar. That's your current trading profit. Now ask yourself:
→ Could you increase your average selling price by 1%?
→ Could you save 1% on your cost of sales?
→ Could you reduce your variable costs by 1%?
→ Could you trim your fixed costs by 2%?
That's 5 cents. On a 10% trading profit, that's a 50% increase in profit. Not from a new product. Not from a new market. Not from working harder. From understanding your P&L dollar model and knowing exactly where to make change.
Same team. Same products. Same capital employed. Radically different result.
If someone told you they could show you how to increase your profit by 50%, you'd expect some proprietary formula. It's not. It's the discipline of knowing your numbers at a level most business leaders never reach.
→ "I don't actually know my real trading profit percentage."
→ "I couldn't draw the dividend I wanted this quarter."
→ "If someone offered to buy my business tomorrow, I'd be embarrassed by the valuation."
→ "I'm funding a lifestyle, not building wealth."
→ "I work harder than everyone I know — and have less to show for it."
→ "I am missing key moments with my family, because i am trapped in my business"
If you ticked even one, your P&L has answers you haven't found yet.
The difference between where you are and where you should be isn't a mystery. It's sitting in your P&L, line by line, waiting for someone to read it properly.
The Maverix System shows you exactly where your profit is leaking and how to fix it — in weeks, not years.
86% of our alumni increase their profit within 12 months.
Your profit gap isn't going to close itself.
P.S. How much profit did you make last month? How much of that profit did you collect in cash? How much were you paid in dividends? If you can't answer all three, that's exactly why this matters.

Profit does not arrive because you are busy. It does not appear because turnover is high. And it certainly does not reward effort alone. Profit is not automatic. It is learned.

<p>The gap between what you expect your business to deliver and what it actually delivers rarely comes from a lack of effort. It comes from a system that cannot carry the weight of your vision.
